Instructions to update the firmware SD Connect MB C4 and MB C5
Step 1: Prepare 6 AA batteries 1.5V
You need to put 6 AA batteries into MB SD C4 (Item No.SP-100D) and SD C5 (Item No.SP255 ), but you don’t have to install batteries for DOIP MB SD C4 PLUS (Item No. SP100-E) firmware update.
You make sure to supply power through the OBD 2 port for SD connect during the update process
Step 2: Remove the protective back cover and you will see where the batteries is installed
Step 3: Connect power via OBD2 and connect LAN port to laptop and then open Sdconnect ToolKit
Other case: If SD Connect ToolKit error message: " SDconnect battery voltage too low 645 " or “ Check batteries ”
Cause:
+ You don't have batteries AA
+ Power supply/charging circuit is damaged.
How to solve this problem:
+ Find the file named “toolkit.ini” Follow this path \Program Files (x86)\Mercedes-Benz\SDconnect Toolkit\bin\ toolkit.ini
+ Command two line search:
MinUpdateVoltageVBatt=7200
MinUpdateVoltageVExt=11000
+ Modifying the following lines so that the supply and/or battery voltage is lower to the real (it would be enough to set them to zero)
